What is a Virtual Consultation
A virtual consultation is a 1-on-1 meeting with a plastic surgeon over video chat. We will go through the same general process as we would in an in-person consultation, covering most of the same information and questions. We assess your goals, your options, and review any concerns or specifics.

The Process
Call ahead or book online to set up your consultation. Then we’ll schedule a time and date for a video call. Our team will provide you with all the information you need to set your computer or phone up for the call.
At the appointed time, you will have a 1-on-1 video consultation with one of our experienced plastic surgeons. During the call, we discuss your goals, medical history, and preferences. The goal is to suss out what you want to achieve, what the best options are to achieve it, and how to ensure you are safe, happy, and comfortable with the process and results.
Depending on the procedure and potential complications, we may recommend an in-person follow-up before the treatment date. For more simple treatments, we may be able to schedule the procedure after the video consult.
What to Prepare
To get the most out of your online consultation, you’ll want to prepare ahead of time. For starters, make sure to download and set up the video software (ex. Zoom or Skype) you’ll need for the call – we provide the details on this when you book the appointment.
Next, prepare the space where the call is to take place. Don’t worry, this is simple. You don’t need to set up your own movie studio, but there are some key considerations to keep in mind. You want a space with lots of light, natural light is best, and try to choose a spot with menial distractions.
Next, it’s important to really know what it is you want to get out of the consultation. Is this a second opinion, a new procedure, or a correction of a past surgery? Are there specific treatments, results, or complications, you want to talk about? Knowing what you want to get out of the consultation in advance improves your overall satisfaction with the meeting.

Coming out of the video consultation should give you a better understanding of your options and some direction as to your next steps. That may be booking your procedure, browsing our portfolio of similar treatments, or setting up an in-person meeting.
