If your lesion is cancerous or suspicious for skin cancer, or a qualifying keloid scar, the removal is covered by OHIP at no cost to you. Dr. Hayward confirms this at your consultation.
If it is benign and you would like it removed for appearance or comfort, removal starts at $495 + HST (skin tags from $300 + HST). Multiple lesions or skin tags are not charged individually — they are assessed as a group at your consultation.
No referral needed. Your consultation is complimentary with a valid OHIP health card, and removal can often be done the same visit.
